Srushti Dehmukh began preparing for UPSC during the third year of her engineering bachelor's degree. She questioned whether engineering was an appropriate career path for her. Later, she realized the dream of her was to work in civil service and started to focus on it. The parents of her encouraged her to pursue civil service, and to pursue an employment in the public sector. She was motivated to become an IAS officer, and she was focusing on that goal. In just one and a half months, she passed her engineering examinations, and stayed away from all social interactions. Her belief is that concentration and focus are crucial for a successful exam to be a government official. She made a lot of effort to ensure she passed the exam on her first attempt.
